The national cyber security strategies for Norway define seven strategic priorities. These are set in place to safeguard society’s ability to detect, alert and handle serious incidents relating to information and communication technology (ICT).
Serious incidents include targeted attacks against critical ICT infrastructure and sensitive, confidential and classified information. There must be ICT alert teams (IRT) with the basic capacity to coordinate and manage these incidents for all sectors. NorCERT, which is Norways national CERT function, must actively collect and analyze information related to serious ICT incidents.
