During my Security and Law course I have had a lot of interaction with peers, involving professionals from both law and technology.
Supervisory Authority: I have attended conferences where I have discussed the the ICT law with Datatilsynet, and I have had a lot of email correspondence after the meetings. Also, when planning for the GDPR conference on 21st of November, I have discussed with the Director of Datatilsynet about the many aspects of the new law.
Lawyers: I have had meetings and discussions with privacy experts in the field of ICT laws, mostly Kluge Law Firm. This has mostly been about the impact ICT laws have on workers rights and other privacy issues. I have also engaged in discussions online with other lawyers, such as a Partner and Technology Lawyer in DLA Piper.
Peers: Numerous meetings in relation to GDPR, discussing impacts the laws have on organizations that are either controllers, processors or both. Many interesting issues have come up, and it is through these extensive interactions that I have achieved a deeper understanding of ICT laws, and GDPR in particular.
